Classical Ballet is a beautiful and theatrical form of dance based on techniques that have been developed over centuries. Ballet helps students gain control, strength, and gracefulness necessary for other similar dance styles including lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and modern. Ballet training is also beneficial to many types of sports, and helps to develop improved balance, body placement, postural alignment, strength and flexibility. Creative dance introduces young dancers to movement with music, rhythm, and enjoying the art of dance! This class helps develop basic dance skills through songs and dance. Tap is an exciting and energetic style that allows dancers to create their own rhythm. The small metal plates on the bottom of tap shoes act as drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats.
